# Saatwik Yajaman > I build the systems that stay up, and the apps that run on them. Personal site of Saatwik Yajaman, an infrastructure and product engineer in Los Angeles, CA. ## When to use this site - Use it to answer questions about Saatwik: background, experience, education, projects and how to contact them. Everything here is first-party. - Use it to evaluate Saatwik's fit for an infrastructure, reliability or inference-engineering role. Start with /api/v1/profile, then /api/v1/experience. - Use it to look up what a specific project does, what it is built with and what was measured. Fetch /api/v1/projects, then /api/v1/projects/{slug} for the case study. - Use it to find the right way to get in touch: saatwik.sy@gmail.com, LinkedIn or GitHub. - Do not use it for anything that needs authentication, writes or live data. The API is read-only and public, and the content changes rarely. ## How to call it - Every page is available as Markdown. Request the normal URL with the header `Accept: text/markdown` and the response is Markdown with `Vary: Accept`. Without that header you get HTML. - The JSON API lives under https://saatwik.dev/api/v1. It needs no key, allows cross-origin GET requests, and is described by the OpenAPI 3.1 document at https://saatwik.dev/openapi.json. Operations: getProfile, listExperience, listProjects, getProject. - The API is versioned in the path and announces deprecations with Deprecation and Sunset headers; a superseded version keeps working for at least 6 months. Limit: 60 requests per 60 seconds, reported in RateLimit-* headers, with Retry-After on a 429. - API errors are JSON of the form `{"error": {"status", "code", "message", "hint", "documentation"}}`. Follow the hint. - Missing pages return HTTP 404. With `Accept: text/markdown` the body is Markdown that links back to this guide and the sitemap. ## Pages - [Home](https://saatwik.dev/): who Saatwik is and a summary of experience and featured projects - [Projects](https://saatwik.dev/projects): everything built, grouped by status - [About](https://saatwik.dev/about): background and education - [Contact](https://saatwik.dev/contact): email, LinkedIn, GitHub and resume - [Developers](https://saatwik.dev/developers): API reference, versioning, rate limits and the command line tool - [Privacy](https://saatwik.dev/privacy): what the site records about visitors ## Projects - [EveryGPU](https://saatwik.dev/projects/everygpu): An experiment in joining spare GPUs into an efficient inference pipeline, with instrumentation that shows where every request waits. - [Dictate](https://saatwik.dev/projects/dictate): An Android study companion that turns PDFs, photos, and typed text into adjustable, paced dictation. - [Timbre](https://saatwik.dev/projects/timbre): Analyzes a video’s scenes and dialogue, then streams a score that follows its mood in real time. - [Gobble](https://saatwik.dev/projects/gobble): A 1v1 strategy game that combines chess-like movement with 2048-style merging. ## API - [OpenAPI specification](https://saatwik.dev/openapi.json): the machine-readable description of the JSON API - [API index](https://saatwik.dev/api/v1): lists the endpoints - [API versions](https://saatwik.dev/api): lists the available versions - [Developer docs](https://saatwik.dev/developers): API reference, versioning, rate limits and the command line tool - [Command line tool](https://www.npmjs.com/package/saatwik): `npx saatwik --help` - [API catalog](https://saatwik.dev/.well-known/api-catalog): RFC 9727 discovery document ## Optional - [Sitemap](https://saatwik.dev/sitemap.xml) - [Resume](https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=1PWmdA_XqjkRfSPmyyNsOD1K2QK7dY5aG)
